This part of the website will be the hub of all the information during the Jamboree on the Air weekend, from Belchamps Scout Activity Centre. The weekend is changing with the Communicator Activity Badge being run for Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.each young person taking part getting their own badge book to work to. There will be bases around the main hall to get parts of the book signed off. Some of the this will involve Adapting Badge and Award Requirements to fit in with JOTA and JOTI but will be to a standard above the original requirements.

We have the Essex Ham team supporting the event this year, there  mission to help people in Essex (and beyond) discover what amateur radio has to offer, and to support the various local clubs and groups. They are Great!

Also Explorers can take part, the nearest badge is the Science and Technology Activity Badge but requres more than can be done in a weekend but that will make the weekend no less fun to take part in, if they wish to work on this badge the essex ham have an online Amateur Radio Foundation Licence course, something well worth doing. Scout Network and leaders are also welcome as helpers or with help to get licenced.

Our special event callsign is GB1BEL. Special event callsign's are used for transmitting in conjunction with an event of special significance, an amateur station. The JOTI PC's have user name of belchamps from one to twelve and are monitored for the safety of the users. We use scout link to link to other scouts all over the world, and take part in the would scout game JamPuz.
