Weʼre raising money to help fund Belchamps, a place for adventure for  thousands of young people, to improve, develop this amazing centre.

Funding Adventures For Young People

Belchamps provides facilities to thousands of young people, from a wide range of backgrounds, every year and offer a place for adventure, an opportunity to make new friends and an experience they are unlikely to have elsewhere. We provide young people with life skills such as as confidence, sociability and adaptability.

By supporting Belchamps (either by fundraising, donating or volunteering) you help us continue to play the vital part we do in the community and improve the facilities we can provide.

Leaving a legacy

Many kind people have suported Belchamps, Kath Batts is named after such a person. Please contact us to discuss this option.

Donating useful materials

We can use:

  • Good clean timber, sheet material (ply, chip or hardboard)
  • Bricks, paving slabs, unused building materials, fence panels in re-usabale condition, crushed hardcore
  • Tools
  • Trees and bushes
  • Clean pallet wood or logs (Note: we are unable to accept any treated wood of any kind including fence panels and old sheds)
  • Second hand uniform, catering equipment or camping equipment
  • Goods suitable as prizes for Fireworks Night

Donating Skilled Services

We can use the help of Skilled tradesmen to volunteer their time and become a belchamps heros for: (we can pay for your materials)

  • Painting & Decorating
  • Tree Surgeon

Sponsoring an event

We particularly welcome enquiries to sponsor the following high profile events: Wincam, Fireworks Night, Master at Arms Competition or Spooky Activity Day.

Organising a fundraising event

Sponsor a building or project

If you are able to make a sizeable sponsorship of a building or a facility it is possible for the facility to be re-named for a period to reflect your sponsorship – on a smaller scale to the sponsorship of new actitivitys equipment, or similar?

Open Volunteer Workday @ Belchamps Scout Activity Centre
Jul 31 all-day

Our open volunteer and workdays are on the last Saturday of the Month.
The next one will be on the 31st of July. Tasks for this day are:
Painting inside the Rifle Range.
Fixing the Archery Roof.
Collecting and removing waste from around the site.
Making new firebases.
Installing new posts and signs around the campsite.
Making fire beaters.
General site maintenance.
We’ve also got a family show of Hansel and Gretel running in our campfire circle on the 31st and will need volunteers to help with marshaling.
