Is food provided?
Food is not provided as standard. Meal deals are available for £15pp.
What’s included in the meal deal?
Meal deals include an evening snack on Friday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
What activities will there be?
Activities will be confirmed nearer the time but it will include all of our best activities (e.g. archery, climbing, high ropes etc) plus some more from off-site – the popular mini digger, zip wire and more. They will run on a ‘queue and play’ system and all activities are included in the price.
Can we stay in a building?
Buildings are available on a 1st come, 1st served basis and cost an extra £4 per bed. Note: All buildings are now fully booked.
How much does it cost?
The cost of Wincam 2016 is £25 per young person, £6 per leader, £4 per bed building supplement, £14 per meal deal and £14 per day visitor.
What sections can attend?
Wincam 2014 is open to Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section.
Can we set up camp early?
It may be possible to set up early on Friday or even on Thursday evening. Please discuss your requirements with Guest Services. They can be contacted on 01702 562690 or email@example.com.
Is there an event badge?
Yes a badge will be provided for every person and will be included in your welcome pack.
Where will we be camping?
The campsite you are allocated will be dependent on your group size and any special requests you have. If you have a particular site in mind or wish to camp alongside another group, let us know and we’ll try to achieve this.
Can we bring a caravan?
Caravans are allowed in exceptional circumstances (e.g. disability). If you are granted permission to bring a caravan it will have to be parked in the lower car park. We can not guarantee access to an electrical point.
Do we need a Nights Away Permit?
Yes, a Nights Away Permit is required for this event.
Can we come as day visitors?
Yes, day visitor tickets are available and cost £14pp.
When can we book?
Bookings can be taken at any time, as long as we still have availability. If you wanted to book a year in advance then you can, however, we cannot guarantee a price.
What deposit is required?
A £10pp deposit is required for Wincam 2016, this should be paid at the time or as soon as possible after making the booking. Without the receipt of a deposit, we cannot guarantee your places. If you book for 2017 or later we still require a £10pp deposit within the same time frame.
